Meet Our Team of Local BCBAs in Millard
Emilea Palmer, BCBA
Treatment Director – Millard
Hi! I am Emilea Palmer (pronounced Emily). I have been in the field of ABA for 20 years. I started out as a parent when my youngest son was diagnosed with Autism when he was 3. I was the protective mom and interrupted sessions with “We don’t do it that way” or “That is going to make him mad”. It took some time before I was able to let go and buy in. I am so thankful I did. The impact ABA had on my son and my family was nothing short of life changing. I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up and I absolutely had to give this back to other families. I empathize with the families I have the pleasure of working with.
I worked my way through my undergrad and graduate degrees while working full time, raising 3 children with an active duty spouse. I was a para educator in a special education program and an RBT for 10 years. My family moved from Washington to Roswell, New Mexico where Autism and ABA awareness was unheard of. I started an Autism parent support group, sat on the board of the New Mexico Autism Society, brought the first ABA services into Roswell, and worked for the local school district to start an Autism program within the district. I moved back to Washington and continued my journey and I became a BCBA in 2017. In 2022 I moved to Omaha and I have been proud to be a part of the local autism community since my arrival. I have worked as a BCBA, Clinical manager, Director of Clinical Training, and now a Treatment Director at Inner Circle Autism Network – Millard. My passion is working with the children and their families to enhance independence and teaching families how to teach their children the way they learn. I am also extremely passionate about building up our field by mentoring young BCBA’s and BCBA students. My goal is to leave the field of ABA better than how I found it.

What has always guided Symphony is a passion for people. Whether working with families navigating services or partnering with staff who give their best every day, Symphony leads with empathy, integrity, and a belief that kindness has the power to transform experiences. Her work is rooted in the idea that when we care for each other—truly care—we create stronger teams, stronger connections, and better outcomes for the individuals we serve.
At home, Symphony’s world is full of love, laughter, and a little chaos thanks to a wonderful husband, four children, and two big dogs who think they run the place. Cooking meals for the family, enjoying musical theater, and spending unhurried time together are some of the joys that keep Symphony grounded and inspired.

What is ABA?
ABA therapy is a research-based therapy approach that helps children with Autism and other developmental disorders learn important new skills while working through everyday barriers, social difficulties and challenging behaviors.
A Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will develop a unique treatment plan for your child through formal assessment as well as through an in-depth interview with you and/or your family. A therapist (Registered Behavior Technician) will work with your child one-on-one or in small groups to teach a variety of skills and positive behaviors such as communication, social awareness, positive peer interactions, academic engagement, self-care skills, play skills and more.
ABA therapy is also proven to be effective in working through behaviors such as tantrums, bed-wetting, feeding problems, aggression, self-injury, and other destructive or dangerous behaviors.
Effective ABA therapy is not a "one size fits all" approach and should never feel as such. In order to achieve a truly individualized treatment plan, A BCBA will customize the intervention to each child's skills, needs, interests and preferences. This means that an ABA program for one child may look completely different from another child's.
The goal of ABA therapy is to help your child learn new skills and be able to do more things on their own.
What services do you provide?
We provide center-based ABA therapy.
How much does ABA therapy cost?
We are dedicated to helping you navigate the sometimes-challenging world of insurance. Prior to starting services, we will verify that your child’s insurance covers ABA therapy and determine any out-of-pocket cost that you may be responsible for. The cost of ABA therapy can vary as each insurance plan has different coverage and benefits.
What insurance plans are accepted?
We make every effort to accept as many insurances as possible. Listed below are the insurance companies that we are currently accepting (in network with), however please note that if your child’s insurance is not listed, there is still a possibility that we can work to get coverage for your child through out of network benefits or enrollment in state programs.
